Joseph CarrJoseph Carr, Chief Executive Officer, recently served as the start-up CEO for QD Vision, Inc., an MIT spinout developing quantum dot display technologies.  Formerly, Mr. Carr was President and CEO of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Inc., VP of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, GmbH and general manager for the emerging Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) Display business unit.  Prior to his tenure at OSRAM, Mr. Carr spent more than 20 years at The Dow Chemical Company where he last served as General Manager of Dow's Electronic Materials business.  Mr. Carr served on the boards of directors of Cambridge Display Technology, a public company (NASDAC: OLED) until its acquisition by Sumitomo Chemical, and venture backed QD Vision, Inc. and Plextronics, Inc.

Bob ConnerBob Conner, VP of Photovoltaics, has 25 years experience with semiconductor and energy startups and Fortune 500 companies.  Most recently, he was VP of Marketing for Nextreme Thermal Solutions. Previously, he was the founding CEO of Symmorphix which he spun-out of Applied Materials.  He was Managing Director of Corporate Marketing for Applied Materials’ AKT, which produces manufacturing equipment for flat panel displays and solar cells.  He was Vice President of Cirrus Logic's LCD graphics controllers business unit and held product management positions at Chips and Technologies and Intel.  He began his career installing gas turbines for General Electric in the Middle East.

Scott BurroughsScott Burroughs, VP of Technology, has 29 years of commercial experience in III-V compound semiconductors and optics.  He started his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories where he helped to develop and manufacture GaAs semiconductor lasers for the world's first commercial fiber optic communication system.  At Lasertron he led the development of advanced lasers for next generation optical communication systems. Mr. Burroughs became the VP of Operations at CoreTek, a successful tunable laser start-up that was acquired by Nortel.  He subsequently joined two additional start-ups, Optovia as VP of Technology, and Santur Corporation as VP of Engineering.  His primary focus has been the transfer of new products from the laboratory, into manufacture, and out to the marketplace.


Kyle BenkendorferKyle Benkendorfer, Senior Director Business Development, has over twenty-five years of experience commercializing early stage research in North America, Europe, and Asia as a Technical and Commercial Manager with The Dow Chemical Company and as a consultant for several small start-ups. He has experience in developing semiconductor packaging materials, flexible electronics as well as high tensile strength fibers. Kyle Benkendorfer studied Chemistry at Reed College, received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, and received an MSc in Management, Sloan Fellowship, from The London Business School.
