LCD Displays
Semprius technology enables the deposition of high mobility single crystal silicon onto LCD back panels. With a transistor mobility of 1000 times that of amorphous silicon, pixels can be driven much faster, eliminating motion blur and potentially enabling color field sequential scanning.
OLED Displays
Semprius technology enables one of the most significant requirements to implementing OLED active matrix displays - a stable back panel. Printed single crystal silicon has the speed, current handling capability and stability demanded by OLED devices.
Flexible Displays
Printing semiconductors as thin as 100 nanometers is an easy task - and at with such thin devices, flexibility with high reliability is achievable.
RF Devices
The ability to optimally mix and match compound semiconductors with inexpensive silicon control is not a new concept. But Semprius technology allows designers to economically shrink the expensive III-V semiconductors to sizes unachievable in the past. The result is better use of expensive materials and increased design latitude.
Large Area Sensors
We are developing novel printed back panels for large area sensors, such as x-ray detectors. The ability to print high performance circuits at each pixel enables higher noise figure and higher transfer speed, both needed for improved medical imaging and security applications.
